Food Sorting & Backpack Packing
Our We've Got Your Back program has provided essential weekend food for children in need. Volunteers help organize and prepare food for food distribution, making a direct impact on local families.Volunteers also help pack backpacks full of non-perishable goods that can be delivered to schools to provide food to families who are unable to come for our Friday Food Distribution.
Tuesdays | 9:30–11:00 AM | Ages 8+ Minors must have a guardian.
(Groups up to 6; larger groups may be split between projects) -
Drive-Thru Food Distribution
Giving Children Hope works to combat weekend food insecurity for children in the Greater Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Volunteers help pre-pack grocery bags, sort produce and pantry staples, assist with drive-through distribution, and welcome families at check-in. Your service ensures struggling families have consistent access to nutritious food—week after week.
Fridays | 8:00 AM–12:00 PM | 13+ Minors must have a guardian.
(Groups up to 15) -
Traffic and Parking Team
Volunteers will be assigned to assist with directing traffic as families prepare to participate in our drive-through food distribution.
Fridays | 7:30 AM–11:00 AM | 18+

Product Sorting
Help us transform truckloads of donations into life-changing support. Each week, we receive products from generous partners like Amazon, Costco, and Target. Volunteers quality-check, sort, and organize these items to create Welcome Home Packages for families moving into housing and to restock our Distribution Center, which supports local nonprofits meeting essential needs.
