What People Are Saying About GCH

As a school staff serving a socio-economically challenged neighborhood, we need all the support we can get to meet the needs of our students and their families who regularly face hunger and homelessness. The steadfast and profound partnership and support we receive from Giving Children Hope continues to be instrumental in our success. Beyond the impact of the weekly nutritional support, numerous parents at Gilbert have improved the lives of their families with the knowledge and confidence they have gained through the parent courses offered each year. I can attest that we would not have experienced the same level of academic and social-emotional gains in our students without the generosity of GCH. Thank you indeed for serving the students “across the street”

Talking to the student we realized that food was scarce at home and often left to school hungry and went to bed feeling the same.  With this program the family now has food so that he may focus on learning at school and not on how hungry he is.

Providing food for our families in need goes beyond feeding those families it also creates an environment that parents are more involved in their children's education and provide the tools to make them feel empowered by completing goals/objectives those parents did not imagine the could obtain.
