Giving Children Hope serves vulnerable children and families across the street and around the world. One way we do this is through the gathering and re-distribution of medical supplies and equipment to other non-profit partners, clinics, or hospitals locally and internationally. Thanks to our family of donors, Giving Children Hope is able to respond quickly and efficiently when a natural disaster strikes or help plan projects based on a great need in a developing country. In recent years Giving Children Hope has sent containers to support those who survived Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, Hurricane Katrina in the United States, and Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.
Here’s How It Works
Giving Children Hope is able to send thousands of dollars worth of supplies to almost any corner of the Earth because we are blessed by medical manufacturers and hospitals willing to donate their overstock or unused equipment that might otherwise be thrown away. Once we receive the product, we clean it, refurbish it, and then find someone in need. These donated supplies are then shipped all over the world based on our partners’ needs. Giving Children Hope sends approximately 40 large 40-foot shipping containers of medical supplies every year, depending on the need. Each container has close to $250,000 worth of supplies and 30,000-40,000 lives can potentially be impacted by each container.
If you know an organization internationally that could benefit from a shipment of medical supplies please let us know! Please email Mikaela Buchanan for more information.
